Who are we?

Who are we?

Djeruza Jamanica

Midwife

I am Djeruza 38 years old, married and we have two wonderful sons and a daughter.

As a little girl, I always said I wanted to be a baby doctor. As I got older, I became more and more interested in midwifery care. This is a dream I had and I never wanted to give it up. I worked hard for it and my dream came true. It is my job to guide you in the transition to become parents. I will inform, coach and give you the confidence to make it a beautiful experience. After all, you can never repeat a delivery.

Darlene and I recently started a duo practice. We fully agree with each other's working method. It is important to us that you know who can stand at your bedside. After all, you have to feel safe and trusted at the most unique and intense period of your life. You can expect our commitment and enthusiasm. Attention to you is paramount. We take the time to listen to you and adapt the care to your wishes. We have the most beautiful profession in the world!

I hope to meet you soon.

Darlene Guda

Midwife

My name is Darlene Guda, born and raised in Amsterdam with Surinamese roots.
After I, as an 11-year-old girl, watched the program “De bevalling” on TV, I knew: “I want to become a midwife”. Without knowing exactly what the profession entailed, my love for pregnant women has only grown. I loved how the body could create a new person and the power you have as a woman to give birth to your child. It is a great honor to be part of that. I think it is important that the pregnant woman and her partner feel safe with me and have the confidence that they are in good hands.

After several years of working as an observer in Amsterdam and Almere, Djeruza and I decided to join forces and start a practice together. Small-scale, personal care with extra time and attention.

Hope to welcome you soon!

Brenda Torres Guzman

Permanent observer

I am Brenda Tores Guzman, 30 years old and live in Amsterdam. I have been working as a midwife since 2019. Before this, I studied nursing and during my last internship in the obstetrics department, I discovered that I also want to be a midwife.

I find it so special how a woman can bring a human being into the world and that I can contribute to the most beautiful moments of your lives.

I am passionate with a touch of temperament. My enthusiasm and empathetic attitude help me win the trust of a pregnant woman. I think it is important to make pregnant women feel comfortable and heard.

I look forward to meeting you all!

Natascha van Dijk

Permanent observer

I am Natascha, born and raised in Surinam.

After high school I moved to the Netherlands to continue my studies. It took some searching. Compared to many midwives who had known for a long time what they wanted to become, I did not know what the study entailed until the open day. When I heard from a passionate midwife what exactly being a midwife was, I knew. This is what I want to become. The perfect combination of biology, care, but also women's empowerment attracted me.

For me, believing in your own strength and body is central and I would like to guide you in this!

Habiba Bakar Omar

Assistent

My name is Habiba, I live together and am the mother of 3 children: 2 daughters and a (bonus) son.

Since January 1, 2024, I have been able to support midwives as a practice assistant.

The beautiful profession of midwifery is not unknown to me as the daughter of a midwife and with several years of work experience in a midwifery practice.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you and speaking to you by phone. You are very welcome with us!

Our vision

A small-scale midwifery practice where you can contact us easily. No question is too crazy for us. Personal guidance, professionalism and attention are central to us. We rely on the physiological process and the strength of the woman during pregnancy, childbirth and maternity period. If you have specific wishes, please make them negotiable.
The arrival of a baby is exciting enough. That's why we think it's important that you feel comfortable with us, that you can build a relationship of trust with us and that we enjoy these nine months together.

See you soon in practice!
