Complaints procedure
Do you have a complaint? Don’t keep it to yourself.
It is important that you feel comfortable with your midwife. Being pregnant is exciting enough as it is. That is why we do everything we can to provide you and your baby with the best possible support. Do you have any questions or concerns, or are you dissatisfied with something? Please tell us.
Preferably as soon as possible, but also if you have already been carrying it with you for some time. We can then discuss it together and try to find a suitable solution. Whether we clear up a misunderstanding, reassure you, or adjust the way we work so that you feel more comfortable, we are happy to take this into account.
We are happy to arrange a separate appointment so that we can take the time to talk things through properly. If you find it difficult to have the conversation, you are welcome to bring someone you trust with you.
If you do not feel able to raise your complaint with us, cannot resolve it with us, or would like help submitting a complaint, please contact the complaints officer at the CBKZ: Centraal Bureau Klachtenmanagement in de Zorg. They are impartial, work independently, and will be happy to support you with advice and assistance. The complaints officer can also mediate in finding a solution.
The external complaints officer of the CBKZ can be reached by telephone on all working days at 088-0245123, from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:30. You can also email klachtverloskunde@cbkz.nl.
For more information, visit www.klachtverloskunde.nl.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint, either directly or with the help of the complaints officer, it is considered ‘a dispute’. In that case, you can submit your complaint to the Disputes Committee for Midwifery. This independent body investigates and assesses whether your complaint is justified. It will issue a binding decision.
